Artoday 4th Edition Kicks Off at Grand Egyptian Museum Under “Empowerment Through Art”

The fourth edition of the Artoday visual arts forum, held at the Grand Egyptian Museum, witnessed the honoring of Silver Screen as a strategic partner and media sponsor for the second consecutive year, in the presence of ministers, ambassadors, prominent artists, and public figures.

The award was presented by Sherine Badr, founder of the forum, and Ahmed Ghoneim.

Mohamed El Dahshouri stated that the continued partnership with Artoday reflects the company’s commitment to supporting social causes through art, noting that empowering women through creative platforms represents a meaningful investment in society, contributing to sustainable opportunities and broader economic and social impact.

He added that hosting the forum at the Grand Egyptian Museum carries strong cultural significance, reflecting the historic role of women in Egyptian civilization, while highlighting art as a powerful tool for raising awareness and addressing societal challenges.

The forum brings together more than 200 female artists from around 30 countries, reinforcing its position as a global platform for supporting women’s creativity and transforming it into sustainable economic opportunities.

The event also honored leading figures in visual arts, most notably Gazbia Sirry, guest of honor for this edition.

The opening ceremony saw wide participation from officials, diplomats, and celebrities, including Elham Shaheen and Sawsan Badr, while the event featured a performance by Nesma Mahgoub.

The forum runs from May 2 to 4 under the patronage of several government entities, including the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Social Solidarity, and Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, alongside international organizations such as UN Women and the UNHCR.

This edition also marks a special tribute to the centenary of Gazbia Sirry, in addition to a collaboration with El Sewedy University of Technology to deliver an interactive artistic experience that blends art with artificial intelligence.
